How to print these Chinese New Year red envelope templates
Printing is simple even if you only have a basic home printer.
- Click the image of your favorite red envelope template
- A high quality pdf will open in a new tab – download or print directly from your browser
- Set the print scale to Actual size or 100 percent
- Choose Highest or Best quality if your printer has that option
- For black and white designs you can print in grayscale or on coloured paper
If your printer has a border, leave the scaling alone and let the small margin print. The envelope template is designed to sit safely inside the printable area.
How to fold your printable red envelopes
Each template has solid lines for cutting and dotted lines for folding.
- Print the page on your chosen paper or card.
- Cut around the envelope shape following the outer solid line.
- Score the fold lines lightly with a blunt knife or bone folder if you want very crisp folds.
- Fold in the side flaps along the dotted lines.
- Fold up the bottom flap and glue it to the side flaps.
- Leave the top flap open until you have filled the envelope, then fold it down and secure it with a sticker, glue stick or a small piece of tape.
We use a glue stick with our children because it is quick and not too messy.
