How To Make a Thanksgiving Place Card

Your chosen Thanksgiving place card will open in Canva (our favorite free online editing tool) and you will be able to edit and customize the template as much as you like.
Canva is so easy to use and is a simple drag and drop editor, meaning you can customize anything in minutes.
What you can customize
- Background color – simply click the background and edit the color in the little square in the top bar
- Position elements – click and drag images, text, or anything else to rearrange your layout.
- Replace elements – replace any elements by deleting them and then clicking the elements tab on the sidebar and searching for whatever you need. Click the element to place it on your place card.
- Text – Click the text to edit it. You can even change the font from the top bar, the color, and the size.
- Size – Want your place card to be a certain size? Click the resize button and put in your custom dimensions!
Our place cards are designed to be used in many ways:
Folded Place cards
- 2.5” high x 3.75” wide when folded
- 4.5” high x 3.75” wide when unfolded
- 4 unfolded place cards to print on a US letter size page
The Thanksgiving place cards have a dashed outline for you to easily cut around and a subtle fold line.
If you love our folded place card designs but don’t want the folded format then simply cut at the fold line for a place card that lays flat.
Long Place cards
- 8” high x 4” wide
- 2 place cards to print on US letter size page
Once you are happy with your final design you can simply save it in the format that is best. Canva will automatically suggest the best format depending on your design but there are options for you to choose from. Your custom Thanksgiving place card will then save to your device, and from there you can print it out.
The Perfect Thanksgiving DIY Crafts
You don’t need to use Canva, you can simply just print the printable versions and write directly onto the place cards. The choice is yours so just go with whatever option suits you best.
